The Monolith is an octave fuzz based on the legendary Boss FZ-2 Hyperfuzz, but it refines and expands the circuit to fit the needs of modern players who demand more control over their tone.
With its dedicated footswitch, the Monolith lets you activate the octave-up stage independently, turning one pedal into two distinct fuzz voices, from thick, mid-forward grind to blistering, harmonically rich upper-octave mayhem.
While designed primarily for guitars, the Monolith works equally well on bass, making it a versatile choice for doom, stoner rock, shoegaze, and experimental sounds.
Controls :
Comp : Clipping diode selector - 4148 (up) Schottky (down) for a more compressed and more distorted character.
Scoop : Mid scoop off (up) on (down) for scooped doom tone.
Gate : Gated transistor stage bypass (up) activated (down) for sputtering, velcro-style gating.
Treble & Bass : Active two band EQ to shape your highs and lows.
Gain : Adjusts the amount of gain, from gritty overdrive to full fuzz saturation.
Volume : Controls overall output level.
OCT : Octave-up on/off switch for screaming upper harmonics.
Build & Power :
Each Monolith is hand-wired and built with carefully selected components for durability and tone consistency.
True Bypass switching for a pure signal path.
9V DC power supply (2.1mm negative center, no internal battery clip).
Top-mounted jacks for efficient pedalboard layout.
Operates best at 9V DC - higher voltages are possible but proper behavior is not garanteed.
